Hello everyone,
I've still yet to find a bike for my springtime and summertime riding, but perhaps this bike, the Trek vrx 300, is just the bike I'm looking for. I hope. I can't speak for the owner or the condition of the bike, pictures are pending.
Here's what's posted about the bike so far:
very nice downhill mountain bike. paid 2300$ . longtravel judys triple crown shocks. avid shifters bontrager oversized rims full suspension frame fox racing shok under seat. aluminum frame very light
And in a followup, he writes:
it has oversized frame longtravel manitous triple crown shocks .9 cogs on back rim.
Additionally, he's asking $600.00 for the bike, a princely sum for a poor pauper like me! So, I'm bringing before you this question, is the bike worth it's pricetag (used, of course)?
Thanks so much,
Av
PS. I'll keep this question open for a few days, as I know that he and others in my area snipe questions here on yahoo answers.
The Biggest Loser

yes, it is worth that price…
of course nothing retains much value after a while, especially cars and bicycles. as long as it is in good condition, I say go for it.
by the way, have you shopped for a new bike? just for comparison…
Bikes are like computers… very much so.
I remember selling those bikes back in the day – THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF CHANGES.
What was called, “Long Travel” is now common 100mm – thus it’s not, “Long Travel” anymore.
Also – Due to the age and the, “Older” Technology, these parts, Shocks etc, would not be servicable.
I CAN assure you that the Frame Parts for the suspension ARE available in any Trek Dealer’s TCG catalog… The shocks themselves ARE older and would need to be replaced if something were to happen. This would cost more than what you are paying for the bike!
In Reading, it can’t have two forks – Judy and Mantiou are TWO different things… Which one does it have..?
I would offer the seller this and pay $300 at the most
