I have a TREK 2100 Alpha SL frame and I need to know what year it is?

Here is some information: It is candy apple red (I've seen some description as "Metal Flake Red" and it has grey or taupe decals. I think it's a 1999, but I can't be sure. The serial number is WTU A003181 R. Does anyone have more information for me? Is this a good frame?

    Hey just a guess. Possibly 2000 due to the “00″ in the serial number. Contact Specialized from there site. I bet you get the info quickly from them.

    Looks like you’ve hit the nail on the head. 1999 is the only year with that color scheme and here is the link to prove it:
