Trek Frame – Cheap Trek Bikes and Frames

i have this bmx trek bike frame and its only the frame and part of the 3 peice crank.I was going to rebuild it but i found a problem...i need a special crank and i dont know the size of the old one...if anyone can help plz help!oh and dont tell me just to go out and buy a new bike!!!!thats not an answer...

  From the title it sounds like you were looking for a fork. But I think from the rest of your question that you’re looking for a means of determining the proper crank for this bike. The answer isn’t that easy given the information and may mean taking the frame and parts to the bike mechanic near you for some help. Take all the crank parts you have when you go. Often a good and decent mechanic with lead you to a parts bin where they keep spare parts for just that reason. Now about that “special crank” issue. Trek may have designed that bike with an over sized bottom bracket (BB). I seem to recall the spec of some bmx bikes had unique parts thrown on them. All of this said, it’s almost impossible to tell you how to do what with which parts not having seen them or having a list of what’s there. So sorry to say I think you have to take it in. They will help you with getting the right stuff if they’re cool. By cool I mean not going to tell you to “just buy a new bike.”

  Kid, a BMX fork is easy to find in EBAY (www.ebay.com) Check the ‘Cycling’ section, you’ll find BMX bikes & Parts—then you’ll see ‘Forks’. They have forks for the size 20 ” wheel ( and its priced real LOW) or 24″ (cruisers).
