This is possible yes. If your doing it yourself, and you have never done it before I suggest you get the help of someone who knows what they are doing and has the correct tools. Changing a crank is very difficult.

BMX fork won’t work because a mountain bike frame is designed for 26″ tires not 20″ that BMX uses. So you’ll need a mountain bike fork.
Basically you are wanting a single speed mountain bike, a lot of people have done this actually. It’s actually not as simple as it would first appear, but its not that hard. You have to mix / match components. And figure out how to tension the chain because a mountain bike frame has a vertical drop out.

yeah its possible. id reccomend taking it to a bike shop and have them do it.
